Oxford had its first ever Barista competition on 8th October this year. The OxBarsistaSlam latte art competition was held a Joseph Perks&Co and sponsored by UECoffee Roasters.
I was there to watch the action, two of our Baristas entered and I streamed some of the proceedings live on Periscope. There is a montage of the action below.
It is great to see these competitions move out of London, as 3 years ago we didn’t have enough artisan coffee shops to hold a competition!
Competitions like these help raise the bar significantly for the independent Coffee Shop who needs to stand out from the crowd.
